In 2012 Grand Rapids experienced a great windfall of fortune.  Social media carried us into a Co-Title of Beer City USA.   Now in 2013 we are working dilligently to claim the title for our own.   We need your help.  Please take a moment to Vote for GR here.  The poll closes Friday night the 10th, so please do not delay.   I also encourage all of you to pass the link on to your social media and email contacts to help GR retain Beer City USA!

In light of the construction on 28th street this year we are changing our general description of our location to “On Patterson Just south of Burton St.” If you are using I-96 westbound to get here try the 36th Street Exit, West to North on Kraft then follow it around to Burton and then South on Patterson. If you are using I-96 eastbound to get here try the Cascade (East) exit and then turn South on Forrest Hills Ave to Burton St, then left (East) to a right (South) on Patterson Ave.

The Achilles 5k will be on April 20th this year.  Signup will open for the 2013 Achilles 5k Sponsored by Schmohz Brewery at 1AM March 1st, 2013 .   We are limiting to 350 participants this year, so do not procrastinate.  We would love to have you run/walk again this year.  We are brewing the Achilles Ale as I type, so be sure to get yours on race day.
